Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.01

Get Acrobat Reader

You may need to use the "Save Next Link As..." or "Save to Disk" functions of your Web browser to Download the Acrobat 3.01 Reader installer application. After you have download, then:

  1. Quit your Web browser.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file
  3. Follow the instructions on your screen.
If there is a failure at any point during the installation of Acrobat Reader 3.01, the installer performs a complete uninstall. For this reason, it is important not to close the installer application by clicking its close box in the upper right corner of the background window after clicking the "Thank You" dialog box that appears at the end of automatically close the background windows after the installation is complete.

Netscape Communicator 4.0

Tune up to Communicator

  1. Click the link above to begin downloading. As you are downloading, take note of the directory or folder that contains the file you are getting. You will need to find this file to install the product.
  2. Find the folder the file was downloaded into and double-click on the file. At the dialog box asking whether you want to install the software, click Yes. You will be taken to the installer program.
  3. In the installer, you will see a series of setup screens. Be sure to read and follow the instructions on each screen carefully. You will be asked to read and agree to a license agreement, choose a location in which to install the software, and choose or create the folder name for the program.
    If you install your new software into the Netscape folder that contains your current version of the product, your old version will be overwritten, but you can still use your existing bookmarks, preferences, and settings. If you wish to keep a copy of the old version as a backup, simply create a new folder for the software you are about to install.
    Note: Netscape Navigator for Windows 1 will ask if you want to continue using your existing netscape.ini file. Answer Yes if you want to continue using your existing bookmarks and preferences; otherwise the netscape.ini file will be overwritten and existing settings will be lost.
  4. Once you see the prompt telling you that installation is complete, go to the folder where you installed your new software. Double-click on the Navigator application icon to launch your new browser.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0

Download MSIE 4.0

  1. Click the link above to start download.
  2. In the Internet Explorer Opening dialog box, choose either Save As to save the setup files on your hard drive or Open File to open the setup files directly. If you choose Open File, Internet Explorer setup will begin automatically.
  3. If you chose Save As, select the location on your hard drive where you want to save the Internet Explorer setup files.
    After the setup files have been saved to your hard drive, and while you're still connected to the Internet, run setup by double-clicking the ie4setup.exe.
  4. In the first setup dialog box, select which package of Internet Explorer 0 Suite components you want to download.
You can choose from the following Internet Explorer 4.0 Suite component packages:
  • Minimal: Includes Internet Explorer 4.0, Java Support, and Microsoft Internet Connection Wizard.
  • Standard: To the Minimal installation we add Microsoft OutLook Express and Microsoft Wallet.
  • Full: To the Standard installation we add NetMeetin, NetShow, FrontPage Express (formerly FrontPad), Microsoft Web Publishing Wizard, and Microsoft Chat.

  1. Download by clicking the link above. If you receive a message regarding unknown file types or configurations, please click "Save to Disk" or "Save File."
  2. Choose a location for your PointCast Network file. Please remember the file location you choose. You will need it for step # 3
  3. Go to the location you chose in step 2, and then double-click pcn32s01exe.
