

Substitute Teachers
- Graham Middle School has a well-balanced, highly qualified substitute
pool available.District homework guidelines call for a minimum number of
minutes per day, averaged over a week's time. Homework is given daily in
most classes.

- Grade 7 60 min./day 240 min./week
- Grade 8 70 min./day 280 min./week
Teaching Assignment
- In 1994-95 Graham had a teaching staff of 42 in grades 6-8, with teachers
properly credentialed through the State Department of Education and teaching
in their credentialed areas.
- Seventy-eight percent (78%) of the certificated staff has an earned
Masters Degree or the equivalent of a Masters Degree.
Class Size
- The average class size at Graham Middle School was 24.98 students in
1993-94. Exceptions to this class size are physical education and music
classes which are larger. Classes such as our special reading class, special
needs classes are considerably smaller, averaging approximately 13 students.
Teacher Evaluation
- In 1989, the Mountain View School District revised its teacher evaluation
forms and criteria for a successful teacher.

teachers each year.
